Netflix 週三表示，Mike Verdu 將加入 Netflix，擔任遊戲開發副總裁，直接向營運長 Greg Peters 匯報業務。Verdu 曾擔任臉書副總裁，負責與開發人員合作，將電玩遊戲和其他內容導入臉書 VR 頭戴式設備 Oculus 。 不願具名的知情人士透露，其想法是在明年在 Netflix 的串流媒體上提供電玩遊戲，電玩遊戲會比照一種新節目推出，含在現有套餐費用內，類似 Netflix 的紀錄片或脫口秀那樣，不另外收費。消息週三見報後，Netflix 一度漲逾 2%，但最終收斂至 7.27 美元或 1.34%，收 547.95 美元。
